As you can see we changed the “permalinks” in our blog. That means that we instead of using date/postname we just postname now as a link. All the old links will be found in the same place as before but starting from today all new once will have shorter URL.

WordPress can not really get it on this summer. They acted sloppy and released an update that still could be hacked so they had to release another 2.8.3 just this week.

If you have no use of visitors from those countries you are better of blocking them since they will just come to your site looking for problem. You will save bandwidth and time this way.

If you are shopping site with customer only in the USA for example you will do wisely to block all other countries.

A small security problem has been found and your asked to update to version 2.6.3. In November the big 2.7 update will come.

A vulnerability in the Snoopy library was announced today. WordPress uses Snoopy to fetch the feeds shown in the Dashboard. Although this seems to be a low risk vulnerability for WordPress users, we wanted to get an update out immediately. 2.6.3 is available for download right now. If you don’t want to download the whole release to get the security fix, you can download the following two files and copy them over your 2.6.2 installation.

The new WordPress is here one month before schedule and it’s the 2.6 you should look out for. But I am sure you already know it because now WordPress have a small icon in the blog admin that keep on telling you to upgrade.

There is also a bulk management of the same plug in and I really like the new system where you not have to check yourself for an update.
