One of the phones which have created a lot of buzz on this year Mobile World Congress was Sony Ericssons new Windows Xperia X1i mobile phone. This is a smart phone popped with the newest technology like Wi-Fi, super-3G and GPS. This super phone is far from completed and it won’t be released before October/December this year. The phone is a great Windows mobile with full keyboard and a lot of technology. The phone will also be able to read and edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Microsoft has also developed and exciting new menu system for this phone, but it is still to early to say more details about this. We have to wait until Microsoft or Sony Ericsson leaks with more information.

The T-Mobile Shadow – copper
The phone has a sliding surface and a sleek design. The editor of the cell review site has rated it very good by marking it 7.0 on 10. The phone comes in two uncommon colors, sage and copper, which adds to its attraction. The phone has an interesting navigation wheel in its key pad. The wheel can be turned clockwise and anticlockwise to surf through the menu. The key pad has a total of 20 buttons. The set has a 2 mega pixel camera, which allows a number of shooting modes and pictures can be shot in five resolutions. There are many options of adjusting the picture. Video can also be recorded with the camera. The picture quality is not that good but is acceptable. The colors of the pictures are not very bright. The phone supports the windows media player and hence good music with the help of music files can be enjoyed. Files like MPEG4, MP3, WMA, WMV, and AAC are supported. Any television shows recorded in a PC can be transferred to the set and enjoyed. The phone offers a speakerphone and world roaming facilities. Text and multimedia messaging is available along with voice activated dialing. The phone book is limited to the memory available with the phone set. Multiple numbers can be stored against each entry, including home and work and email addresses and other such important information. The set is equipped with 32 polyphonic ring tones. Caller groups can be formed and ring tones can be assigned with a photo against each group. Photo can be assigned to any number for caller ID purpose. The phone has options for availing MS Office and an integrated WI-FI to access internet easily.
The Bluetooth and WI-Fi and the attractive price range are its positive points. The display is too attractive and the availability of Windows Mobile.
Few applications are slow and the navigation wheel a bit slippery. The speakerphone quality lacks clarity.
