A small security problem has been found and your asked to update to version 2.6.3. In November the big 2.7 update will come.
A vulnerability in the Snoopy library was announced today. WordPress uses Snoopy to fetch the feeds shown in the Dashboard. Although this seems to be a low risk vulnerability for WordPress users, we wanted to get an update out immediately. 2.6.3 is available for download right now. If you don’t want to download the whole release to get the security fix, you can download the following two files and copy them over your 2.6.2 installation.

I do not believe some one hacked Republican vice presidential hopeful Gov. Sarah Palin account I guess she left the Yahoo account on some of the governments computer since it is a student related to another government official involved.
All this talk about hacking just makes people scared that all the emails are in risk and that is not the case. Most of the time when your email account get hacked it is because you forget to log out or use account on another open computer.
Hacking websites is another matter because there you sometimes have some unsecure code to hack but with the Yahoo website is pretty secure.
But off course it sounds much cooler to say someone hacked into her account and off course she gets her name in the magazines.
