I Thought Vibrations Meant Phone Calls, Not Time..??

Vibration time
I guess wrist watches had better be on the lookout. They’ve got competition! How long has it been since you decided not wear wrist watches anymore since your cellphone had a built in clock in it?

Well, if you regret having thrown away that wonderful diamond stud watch, just beacause you have to pull your cellphone out of your pocket each time you want to know the time, rejoice now!

Haptic Clock is here to save the day. This is a little application for java enabled cellphones that tells you what time it is through a series of vibrations. Great.. that means, no more pulling cellphones outta pockets?? Nah, just reach into your pocket, and press the 5 key. Things could never be better….  :)

So, how does this work actually? Well, a simple extract can explain that.

“Long vibrations are the number of hours of the current time on a 12 hour clock, so 6pm and 6am are both 6 vibrations. The shorter vibrations are the number of minutes divided by 5. So 4 vibrations is 20 minutes and 7 vibrations is 35 minutes. Example: (3) long vibrations and (6) short vibrations means it’s 3:30. Just in case you do want to see the time, the screen displays the time with tick marks for hours, minutes and seconds.”

Well, now that is great. Pretty neat you know. That’s what I would say.
What does it cost? Nothing, so, worthwhile trying out if you own a Java enabled phone. If not, well, in that case, you have my sympathies :P

Wow, that’s a really great idea. I’m not too fond of wrist watches so I’d definitely buy something like this. Thanks for the offer to link exchange. I’ve added your link. I really enjoy your site, I’ll be back often!
