Personally I think the tiger temple has been turn into a zoo now and there is not much that remembers you of a temple.

If you want to see the real monks then visit the temple in the morning tell them you giving alms to the monks. Bring some food and gifts to the monks and spend a few hours with monks and tigers before the first buss with tourists come.
