Garmin Nuvi 760 Sat Nav Review
Garmin GPS nuvi 760 is a winner in the nuvi series with its exceptional features. This series brings two more additional features multi destination routing and “Where Am I?”. Like all other GPS, the nuvi 760 is pocket sized and reliable with gorgeous display and detailed maps for US, Puerto Rico and Canada with 6 million points of interest. This nuvi 760 is integrated with high quality features and specifications that go beyond navigation.
Visual Design
comes with new style brilliant black metallic type finish. It has a high quality 4.3 inch wide screen display with 480 x 272 pixels, which is easy to read from any direction. It proceeds with the absolute view via handy sliding on/ off switch located at the top of the screen. It is designed to view maps in detail and view photos. The screen is sunlight-readable and shows the right driving directions.
Activating GPS chip is easy in nuvi 760 that it does not have a flip-up antenna as other nuvi 600 series. But it takes quite longer time than other series to get the signal which varies 20- 30seconds. Top of the device has a “hold” switch which ignores touch screen input. SD card slot and headphone jack is enhanced on the left side of the device. It is provided with an internal memory that is loaded with detailed maps and so SD card slots are used only for MP3, multimedia files and additional map coverage. USB port connections and power/mount connector at the rear end of the device. We can also connect an external GPS antenna at the back if we need it but probably won’t require. The hardware design is neat, mount is perfect and compact that ball and Socket are easily adjustable.
Multi Destination Routing / Where Am I?
GPS navigates Multi destination routing feature in which you can calculate the route from starting point, intermediate points and ending points. It is ease to sort the routes which means “route sorting”. The Garmin most efficient true route optimization is ‘Optimally Reorder Points’. Now you can just take advantage of these features and set starting and destination locations in different POI and preview the distance and route.
Just dab “Where Am I?” this will view latitude and longitude coordinates and remembers where you have parked. It is perfect to find police stations, fuel Station, nearest hospital etc.
