The Developer of City of Heroes/Villains known as Cryptic Studios has announced a new project called Champions Online. The game is based on the pen and paper game Champions which Cryptic has bought the rights for. Champions let’s you create your own superhero with your own superpowers, history and arch enemy. Cryptic promises billions of combination opportunities. The battles in Champions Online will be fast and exciting and Cryptic says that we won’t get the boring auto attacks and long wait times before each special ability can be used. The launch of the game will be in the middle of 2009.
