Anyone Interested In Riding The 28-Wheel Truck?

28 wheel truck

Ok, so here’s a question for you people.

What vehicle has 28 monster wheels, is 20m in length, and has a weight of about 130 tonnes?

This truck is that wonder vehicle. Built to carry 115-tonne telescope parts, up at a distance of 5,000m, this thing sure boasts as much power as two Formula One cars.

Since, it has been built to carry heavy components at a great height, the driver will surely face lack of oxygen. Keeping that in mind, the driver’s seat has been designed, such that the driver can sit easily with an oxygen tank.

Who Feels Like Adding A Slight ‘Spike’ To Their Espresso?

Spiked Esperesso

For those of you, who need an extra spike in their Espresso, this Saeco Etienne Louis is more than happy to help you do just that.
This spiky machine, is basically constructed with steel, and has aluminum ’spikes’ around it. The sphere, has a water heating compartment, that is hidden.

A great and dangerous design, this thing sure does look like a beauty to me. However, what it makes up for in look, it lacks in performance :P
This thing, can only pump out, a maximum of 2 cups of Espresso at a time. So, I have reason to believe that the third guest has to wait for some time, before he can feel ’spiked’.

Control Your KeyBoard And Mouse Without Your Hands Using Lomak Light

Lomak light

Well, Lomak seriously may seem a bit awkward name for a gadget. But, this is probably the first word, that has some meaning attached to it. Lomak (Light Operated Mouse and Keyboard), is the ultimate in hands free computer control.

For those who find the traditional keyboard and mouse odd or difficult, here’s a new twist.

So, Lomak, is operated via your hand, or head. The users, aim a beam of light, at a pad that has numbers and letters in a rotary style. The numbers/letters appear on the screen, as the light passes through it.

There is absolutely no requirement for any special software or any extra calibration. Moreover, it does not change the UI of your existing programs.

As far as I know, this thing is just an idea, a concept. However, I’d love to see and use it physically.
Not sure if it works for FPS (First Person Shooter) games. Imagine watching a person shaking his head in violent frenzy to try and kill another player :P

Timecap USB Drive. Something Apart From The Normal

Timecap1

At a first glance, I thought this was just another joke from the tech designers, to take a break from their usual boring (eek!) work.
Pretty much looks like a small tray, or something of the sort that is designed to carry as much of ash as you can.

However, this ‘meaningless’ thing in the picture, is unique USB Drive, that is designed to last for one hell of a lifetime.

timecap2

Just a design concept, and not for sale anywhere yet, this thing sure does catch one’s attention for the fact that it has a unique look to it. Though, it is/was meant to be a capsule type design, people have mistaken it for an ash tray, and seems to me, that they want to stick to their first assumptions :P

What say guys?

Cat Humiliation System From Japan

Hello Kitty

Japan just released a new transformation set of ‘Hello Kitty’. This transformation pack, which comes with a variety of different unusual things, will help you to turn you cat into the most weird cat of the block. From the looks of it, the cat neither looks happy, nor satisfied.

Looks real funny, but, alas… cats should be given some respect!
To look at a gallery of cats that have no dignity, exactly in the same way as the above cat, jump over to Gizmodo & Cats.

New CellPhone Concept For The Blind Utilizes Angled Keys And No Screen

Blind phone

There’s a new cellphone design out there, or rather a concept by Peter Lau which is should allow blind users to easily and dial make phone calls.

The interesting part is that the design/concept does not incorporate the usual braille keys. Instead, the keys are angled. Users can then actually learn these keys and effectively make calls faster and much more easily.
However, this thing has no screen (obvious!)

Most people have this question, as to how the blind people will send the SMS. So far, this is just a concept and there are no details regarding the SMS functionality in this. But, it seems pretty obvious that some kind of speech to text voice analysis function will be incorporated in it.
The phone might read the text messages aloud as you compose them.

Although there are not much details on it as yet, as the case is with most concepts, but the design certainly does look cool and innovative.
What say guys?

Microsoft Incorporates A ‘Mouse’ In A Phone

micro mouse

So, what happens when Microsoft decides to implement a mouse inside a cellphone. And then, head over to the office to patent this pathetic.. oops.. I mean, innovative innovation?

1. A system that facilitates navigating on a display, comprising: a mouse engine component that detects a location; and an interface component that integrates the mouse engine into a handheld communication device.

This thing still has me confused. So, while I figure out exactly what it is.. read more of it at Gizmodo :)
